ट्यूशन शुल्क छूट योजना (TFWS) 2007 में मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालय (HRD) द्वारा आर्थिक रूप से पिछड़े छात्रों, महिलाओं और शारीरिक रूप से विकलांग छात्रों को अत्यधिक रियायती तकनीकी शिक्षा प्रदान करने के लिए शुरू की गई थी।इस योजना के तहत AICTE द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त सभी कॉलेजों के लिए अनिवार्य है जिसमे UNAIDED निजी कॉलेज भी शामिल है इस योजना के तहत कुल SANCATIONED कोटे का 5% सिट आरक्षित है

FOR EXAMPLE

यदि विभाग में 120 छात्र है तो TFWS के 6 स्टूडेंट होंगे

पात्रता-: ऐसे छात्र जिनके फैमली की सालाना आय 6 लाख(वर्तमान में यह राशी बढाई जा सकती है) रूपए तक हो

What is TFWS?

The Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) was introduced in 2007 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) for providing highly subsidized technical education to economically backward students, women and physically challenged students. The rule was to be applied to engineering and hospitality courses for more catering to the needs of students having different interests.

Number of Seats:

Initially the rule was not compulsorily applied to various colleges. The government initially had plans of having a supernumerary quota of 10% of the sanctioned strength for the TFWS students. However, this number has been reduced to 5% of the total seats and made compulsory to ALL colleges recognized by the AICTE which will include private unaided institutes.

Example: If there are 120 students in a department then there will be 6 Supernumerary Seats (in addition to 120 seats) which will be split equally; 2 seats for each of the Economically Backward, Women and Physically Challenged students.

Eligible Candidates:

Only those candidates who have an annual family income lesser than Rs. 6 Lakh(IT MAY CHANGE) from ALL possible sources are eligible to apply through the TFWS scheme.
